A great upgrade to Dodge trucks or any RFE transmission equipped vehicle is the new Billet OD clutch drum. The extra stress of increasing the power in these vehicles will eventually cause overdrive clutch failure.

While pulling heavy loads there is high risk for overdrive burnup due to the stock transmission’s insufficient clutch capacity and OEM clutches that are too thin. Even small amounts of heat and extra torque will push the thin stock .034", single-sided clutches to the point of burning and distorting the clutch pack stack. Any distortion of the clutch pack takes the clearance out of specification and makes overdrive clutch burnup inevitable.
